A medium-dark blue color and a turquoise shade of blue alternate with silver-tone aluminum rings to form four-ring units in this handwoven chainmaille necklace. The chainmail pattern is called “harvest moon” or “tomato sandwich”, and it is pretty nifty! It’s relatively wide, but still looks kind of open and lacy.

I use only the highest quality saw-cut chainmaille jump rings in my designs. Saw cut means the rings were cut with a jeweler’s saw, and the edges where the rings come together are completely smooth, straight, and flush. I’ve got years of chainmail weaving under my belt, and I inspect each ring carefully after closing to ensure good, smooth closures. This necklace should not catch in your hair or clothes.

The entire necklace is woven of lightweight aluminum, which will never rust or tarnish. While all the metal might look really heavy, you will be pleasantly surprised with how light this necklace really is. It’s a good 22 inches long and 1/2 inch wide, so it’s not a shy necklace. It closes with a silver plated toggle clasp.
