Genuine freshwater pearls have been securely wire wrapped in sterling silver. They were then woven into this necklace, dangling from the sterling silver chainmaille points, and connecting everything together.

There are two different sizes of solid sterling jump rings used in this piece. The larger size composes the maille points, and connects the side pearl chains together. The smaller size rings are teeny tiny. They are used to connect the pearls in between the chainmail points. Each one of them was opened, woven around others, and then closed by hand.

There is one large maille point in the center, with four smaller points (two on either side). The rest of the chain to connect around the back alternates more fresh water pearls and sterling silver rings.

The potato shaped are very lovely and about 5mm in diameter. The sterling silver lobster clasp is stamped 925.

This necklace is elegance personified. Every girl’s got (or should have!) a normal strand of pearls. Now you can update your pearls with a more modern, contemporary look. At the shortest, this necklace is 16.5 inches long to fit like a choker at the base of the neck. It comes with an extender chain built in to extend to 18.25 inches long for a more loose fit.
