This handmade necklace is comprised of a sparkly silver Swarovski cosmic ring wrapped up in handwoven, oxidized sterling silver chainmaille mesh, all suspended on an 18 inch long bright sterling silver cable chain.

The genuine Swarovski cosmic ring is 1.15 inches (~30 mm) in diameter. It’s a wonderfully dark silver, sparkly color. It’s faceted in an irregular pattern all around the ring, on the front and back, to make for a sparkle that’s unlike anything you’ve seen. It’s just gorgeous.

The solid sterling silver chainmaille mesh encasing it was woven by me. Each ring is very, very small, the smallest I’ve worked with. Each one is only 5/64 inch in diameter. This size constitutes micro-maille, meaning chainmaille made of rings of a much, much smaller size than would typically be used. Each ring was opened, woven, and closed one at a time by hand, by me.

I then oxidized the whole silver mesh to a gunmetal gray color to offset the Swarovski ring. A large jump ring at the top connects to the chain, and keeps the mesh closed, holding the Swarovski ring in. When hanging, the metal mesh is 1 1/8 inch (28.5 mm) long, including the large jump ring at the top and is 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) wide at the widest.

This pendant comes with an 18 inch sterling silver cable chain with a spring-ring clasp. I can adjust the length of this chain if you’d like. The jump ring at the end is small enough so that you can remove the pendant and wear it on other chains, if you’d like to switch them out. If you already have a chain you use for your pendants and do not need the included chain, contact me for a reduced price.

Overall, this is a simply stunning necklace. It is simple at first glance, but more complex as you get closer. It would be perfect paired with evening wear to a swanky event.
